Dr. Patrick Brady received his B.S. in Psychology from Davidson College, his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, and his Masters and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
In dental school, he was a Dean’s Scholar and was accepted to both the Delphi Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, academic honor societies. Today, he is an ABO certified orthodontist and provides top-quality care to every patient. Dr. Brady has presented research at national meetings for both the American Dental Education Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Chicagoland Braces
Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. The metal or ceramic brackets are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics. These components work together to apply gentle pressure through regular adjustments with our doctors, which will gradually move the teeth into the desired positions.
Chicagoland braces are an excellent choice for correcting many tooth issues, from simple to complex. Because they sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options might, braces might have a shorter treatment time. Also, braces don’t require more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, making Chicagoland braces a cost-effective orthodontic option if you’re on a budget.
Chicagoland Invisalign
Rather than brackets and bands, the Chicagoland Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to move the teeth into alignment gradually. This option is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists and is currently the top alternative to traditional braces.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and designed to fit snugly over the patient’s teeth. The trays are virtually invisible, and you’ll switch them out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. Switching aligners keep your teeth moving in the right direction. You much wear the aligners for 20-22 hours every day during treatment so they can do their job. Patients who neglect to wear the aligners as directed can negatively affect the results and add time to the orthodontic process.
